Disabled Access
The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 means that building owners can be liable to prosecution if they fail to provide adequate access to their premises for disabled people. Whether this means installing a brand new lift, or simply upgrading an existing one, we can help to ensure that your clients comply fully with the legislation.
New lifts
Standard passenger lifts will often provide an adequate and effective solution for most disabled access needs. However, in some cases, a specialist system - such as a platform lift or a scissor-lift - will be a more appropriate or cost-efficient way to provide access. Our partner company, Quality Access Lifts, offers expert advice in this area and a wide range of practical solutions.

Upgrading existing lifts
If you need to upgrade an existing lift to conform
with Disabled Access requirements (for example,
adding braille landing buttons or a voice synthesizer),
we can supply a wide range of modernization components
to help you complete the job. Most of our
lifts can also be supplied with a self-supporting
steel shaft (ideal for older buildings, as it eliminates
the need to fix to brickwork or timber frames that
may not be up to the task).
